Love holds the Universe.
Love cannot be explained. It can only be experienced. When we associate with body and mind, we experience only part of that Divine Love - Universal Mother. When we realize that we are not body and mind but Sakshi - Universal Witness, the experience of Love blossoms. The whole Universe shines in the light of Divine Love.
Understanding that the whole of Creation is a Gift from the "Source", we get filled with grattitude. When we marvel at the wonders of the creation we are filled with awe. When that awe, grattitude turns into respect it is called Bhakti - devotion. Bhakti = grattitude + awe + respect. Out of that respect one Sings the Glories of the Source. This is called Bhajan. Bhajan comes out of Bhakti.
Lowest level of Bhakti is called Apara Bhakti - when one associated with the body and mind. One thinks that He/She is body and mind. Then all the Bhajans are coloured with thoughts of "I,Me, Mine". In that situation, the Universal Love shrinks. Ocean becomes a stream. Torrential rain becomes a trickle.
When one realizes that He/She is spirit - Atma - Witness - Sakshi, the Love pours out. Trickle becomes flood. Rivers become ocean. This is called Apara Bhakti. Apara Bhakti or Highest form of devotion comes only when there is True Wisdom - Jnana. Jnana and Bhakti go together.
Universal Love - Universal Mother is purely impersonal in nature. Whether Saint or Sinner, Mountain or valley tiger or Deer, Universal Love is same for All. She is the Mother. Mother has no partiality towards any child.
